How to Avoid Internet Scams

| Internet Scams |
If you to make a living online, you need to take extra precaution. There are scammers online. These internet scammers set up websites or systems on the internet for the purpose of deceiving unsuspecting people into making payments to them for a service or product they will not deliver. Base on my experience and the experience of others with these swindlers, I would like to share some ways by which you can identify them and avoid falling into their antics and losing your hard earned money.
Pay to Do Jobs Sites
There are some websites on the internet that go about
telling and inviting people to their site for a job opportunity. They do this
by enticing unsuspecting people with huge earnings and income that most of the times
are just too good to be true. Now am not saying that any website that offer you
a job is a scam, there are legitimate sites who offer you work online too. The
only difference between the real ones and the fake ones is that the fake ones
require you to make some small payment to them first to be able to get these so
called jobs. Now the question is, why on earth will an employer ask an employee
to pay a certain amount of money to get a job? To make the offer even more
irresistible, they will say when you register with them after making the
payment say $30, you will instantly have $60 in your account and you will be
able to withdraw if when you reach the minimum of $100. They know you will
never make up to $100 to withdraw. It’s just a trick. Stay away from any site
that offers you to pay some money in order to get a job. It’s a scam.
They Offer To Buy Your Website for Huge Sums
There are scammers who send unsuspecting emails to people
saying they are interested in buying their domain or websites for as much as
$60,000. Having gotten your interest, they will then demand that they need to
have a trusted company evaluate the website before they buy from you.
Then they will skillfully guide you to another of their scam
website that offers domain and website evaluation service. They will insist
that it is the only that site (scam site) that they trust and accept. They will
even direct you to a blog or forum they set up (without you knowing) where the
spoke glowingly about using the service of the domain website evaluation
company they want you to patronize. If you are not careful, you could easily
fall for this high level scam. After all what is $80 to evaluate your site to
making $60,000 from its sale you might think. But how can you check them out?

| Scam Emails |
Find out using whois.com, you will be able to discover who owns or registered any website, their addresses, when the site was registered, etc. Use www.whois.com to check out the owners of the entire website you have been directed to. You will discover that scammers own them all.
Whois.com is a wonderful site you must use often to check
out a website you do not trust. The information you get will go a long way to
help you avoid falling victim to other scams. For example a website could claim
to being in business for 10 years, but when you checked its whois you will
discover that it was just registered a couple of months ago, that means you
cannot do business with them because the owners lied.
Blogs or Forums
As you have seen above, in a bit to make you believe them,
scammers might direct you to a set up blog post or forum where the comments
there approve the company they want you to do business with. Such blogs or
forums usually have few comments or post, and you will be able to add or make
comments. They reason they give for this that they have enclosed comments on
the post because people have been scamming them. This is a big lie. These
forums are scam themselves.
Over Exaggerated Earning Claims
This is the hallmark of scams on the internet. Scammers know
that by promising you $800 in few hours working from home on your pajamas with
a questionable system that even they themselves cannot explain, they get your
attention. Please note as I mention earlier before not all of them are scam. As
long as you trust the site you are dealing with and you know they are
legitimate that’s fine. But in case you don’t know them very much its wise for
you to check them out and find out whether they are for real. Check them out
through www.whois.com and see if the
information you get from it is consistent with what is on their website. You
can also visit popular forums to enquire if anyone knows about them or have
used their product or services before.
